Krome Halloween Party 2007
KT’s Halloween Party Report
29th November 2007 - On 26 October 2007, Steve and Walshy threw a massive Halloween party at Movie World for all of us at Krome Studios to say thank you for our hard work over the past year. It’s truly been a monster year working on Viva Piñata: Party Animals, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, Hellboy: The Science of Evil and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed!
There was so much to do at the party, we just about ran out of time to fit everything in! Movie World was exclusively ours for the night and we started out on a couple of cool rides and then it was off to the Spooky Castle for dinner and the rest of the night’s festivities. After dinner, Steve and Walshy thanked everyone for their amazing work this year. It blew me away to hear them both say “I love working at Krome, thank you for making it such a great place”. I thought to myself “these guys are really humble… they are Krome”!
One of the highlights of the night was the costume parade and judging. Just about everyone dressed up in costume, which was awesome. There were vampires, zombies, witches and devils and then on the obscure side there was Indiana Jones, the Cookie Monster, Zelda, Mario and a bunch of characters from Alice in Wonderland! Prizes were awarded for the Best, the Worst, the Most Bizarre, the Geekiest and the Creative Director’s Award for the Most Obscure costume.
Then George, our Lead Sound Designer and Composer showed the hilarious video montage he made featuring everyone at Krome, capturing their personalities. This was sidesplitting! Even though this was a hard act to follow, Guitar Hero II came out for a bit of healthy competition and a laugh to close the night.
The only thing better than the party was Steve saying the next day at work “… that was so much fun… we have to do it again next year!”
