Robert Walsh talks with Develop.

28th May 2009 - Krome Studios CEO Robert Walsh has joined other prominent independent developers to talk about the industry and its future.

In an interview with Rob Crossley from Develop, Robert talks about working with major publishing houses on numerous console platforms.

“The biggest thing delivering for a number of consoles is investment in R&D and technology. We have about forty to fifty people just working on internal tools and tech, and that’s bigger than some game studios. So a huge investment is required to be able to support all those platforms.”

The increase in digital distribution and collectability value of videogames was also among the interview topics discussed and what the budget concerns are for independent game companies.
